Palm Desert Series

Welcome to my Palm Desert Series. I spent sometime in The Palm Springs/Palm Desert, California earlier in 2020 studying painting and exploring. I came back inspired by new color combinations, designs and painting techniques. My design has much more geometry than my typical paintings. I also added Cold Wax to my Oil Colors and used Cold Wax techniques, such as rollers and squeegees. R&F Oil Sticks were also a lot of fun! These techniques and tools offered a varied and textural surface. My goal for this series was to give an unexpected design, visual interest and a color punch, while engaging the viewer in the dance.
